Peter Vacchina

Before becoming a full-time artist in Pittsfield, he lived and taught science in Belgium, Brazil, Mexico, England, Italy, and California. He appreciates the challenge of working in marble and its potential to last for centuries. In his marble sculptures, Peter seeks to invoke memory in the way a scent or sound might, and in doing so inspire heartfelt stories in the viewer.
Anne Roland
She has always found inspiration in the world around her. As a young child, she sensed the living energy in everyday things. It is this sensitivity that is one of the sources of her creativity. The search for the appropriate medium led ultimately to the use of colored pencil.

Shany Porras's abstract paintings visually translate what one experiences through music. She started studying classical music when young, which has meant that music remains an essential part of her daily living.
MaryAnne Pellegrini
Smitten by acrylics at a "Paint and Sip" event, I seriously took up a brush as an art student in the Berkshires and Eastern Massachusetts. Leaving behind decades of technical analyst work, I began the study of color theory (red and blue don't always give you purple, it's true!), how to use mediums (not referring to psychics), and grounds (you guessed it, nothing to do with the dirt under your feet).

Karen Kane's art is primarily generated through a visual and tactile discussion with internal and external forces -- emotion, memory, color, nature, structure, light, language, poetry. This discussion becomes the process and the expression itself. Her paintings and drawings begin in a place -- an image, an idea, a color, a feeling -- and evolve into form and color that are derived from that origin.
