Aiden White
Aidan White was born in Princeton, NJ and moved to the Berkshires when he was 8. He has always enjoyed visiting museums, Princeton University Art Museum, The Clark, MASS MoCA, and the Rockwell, where he would make sketches of some of the paintings. But, in those days, his art was confined to drawing cartoons. He even submitted one to The New Yorker which was politely rejected. He had no thought of doing anything seriously with art when he was in high school. He put off taking the required art course until his senior year, chiefly because he did not want to subject himself to the constraints that he imagined art teachers would impose on him. If he was going to make art, he would do it his way and on his terms. After taking classes at IS183 Art School of the Berkshires during the pandemic, Aidan enrolled at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design where he is currently a painting major. His work has been in juried shows in AZ, CT, MA, and New Yor City. He has done numerous commissions, and his work is in private collections in MA, MD, NY, and NJ.
