IIn the '60s, Mark Mellinger went to Cooper Union Art School to study painting, graphics and sculpture. He worked in advertising and commercial photography for a while, later returning to college and then careers in biology research and ultimately, psychology. While continuing his practice of psychoanalysis in New York City, he spends every free moment in his Pittsfield studio, and enjoying the rich Berkshire art scene.
